Anasazi Quiver Collage in Picture Frame

bullet

"Anasazi Quiver collage in Picture Frame"   (Joe Wilde).  The frame is made of old wood that the artist finds lying about. Uniquely, the background paper is authentically hand crafted and when you look up close at it you can see bits and pieces of twigs & wood. The quiver itself is made of either deer hide or elk hide, that will depend of the availability of the leather. The arrows in the quiver are shafts of local wood along with genuine feathers that have not been dyed, real sinew is used, for art purposes the artist does not put arrow heads on the shafts of the arrows, they are not meant for function-ability but for appearance. All the feathers in the collage are real and have not been dyed, the large one in the picture above is a turkey feather and there are some miscellaneous ones added. All the vegetation is carefully dried and comes only from the local mountains in the region of the Anasazi Indians. The artist only uses real glass beads & real authentic Anasazi pottery. Added to the lace on the quiver is real Rattlesnake vertebrae and ribs.

Each individual collage is a unique piece of art, the artist likes to add something to the picture that belongs to the prospective owner of the art piece to add a personal touch ( i.e. an arrowhead or beads etc.) these items will need to be small enough to fit between the background and the glass, so if you are thinking about having one made for you keep this in mind.
