"Root-Beer White" Alabaster Vase. The stone is a tiny bit softer than I thought it would be, how ever it made a very nice vase. The stone is some what translucent and very lovely when lit or when light (particularly the sun light) shines on it. It is very nicely veined, at one point I thought I had fractured the stone but to my pleasant surprise it turned out to be some unusual veining in the shape of an arch.

The walls of the vase measure from the top starting at 3/8" to the base at 1/4" thick.
